South West Stirling Climate Action Network’s Local Place Plan

In light of the strong wish for more attention to matters of climate change and sustainability expressed in the recent Local Place Plan survey of all residents, Strathblane CC has become a member of the South West Stirling Climate Action Network (SWScan).  This brings together local communities across this part of Stirling District to collaborate in developing inter-village partnerships to help to mitigate the negative effects or adapt to climate change, and to increase and raise awareness of environmental sustainability.
SWScan has produced a Local Place Plan that offers a strategic approach to amplify and support community-based climate/sustainability actions, and so increase our combined impact across the wider area, covering teh CC areas of Strathblane, Killearn, Balfron, Drymen, Kippen and Buchlyvie.  The aim is to complement the individual Local Place Plans of each community.
The SWScan report can be found at: https://www.swscan.org/.  The website invites you, if you wish, to make any comments on the plan. The deadline for comments is 28 October 2025.
