The next phase of Stirling’s Local Development Plan process is open for consultation. Once completed and approved, the next Local Development Plan will set out where development should and should not take place, identify important places and assets that require protection, and include local planning policies to guide decisions on future planning applications.

This consultation invites your views on the emerging Spatial Strategy and the Site Options currently being considered for inclusion in the Proposed Plan. The site options shown for the Strathblane area are sites submitted by landowners and developers during the Call for Sites, which ran during late 2025.

Responses for Strathblane Community Council will likely be guided by the Strathblane Area Local Place Plan that was adopted earlier in 2026. However, all individuals and organisations are invited to put their views directly to Stirling, and of course to ourselves. More detail about the Local Place Plan process is on our website here.
