Police Scotland have asked us to share the following message. **PLEASE CONSIDER SHARING THIS TO ANYONE VULNERABLE WHO MAY NOT HAVE DIGITAL ACCESS** Over the last 3 days Police Scotland have received 6 reports from elderly residents who have been contacted by a suspect who claims to be from Police Scotland fraud department. They have attempted to convince victims that their bank security has been overcame and that they need to make immediate cash withdrawals to protect their money. Whilst most victims have realised this is a scam, one victim was convinced to hand over money to a male suspect believing she was handing it to a police officer.We are keen to express to our communities that Police will never contact you on the phone and ask for your bank details or ask you to make any cash withdrawals.
